What is Spinal Decompression Therapy?
Spinal Decompression is a proven non-invasive, non-surgical and drug free treatment.  It is known to treat severe neck and low back pain that involves herniated or bulging discs, spinal stenosis, sciatica, degenerative discs and also after surgery failed back syndrome.

How Does Spinal Decompression work?
Spinal decompression creates negative pressures within the disc by gently extending and decompressing the spine. The negative pressure produce an intradiscal vacuum that removes pressures pinched nerves and reposition bulging discs putting it back into its place. This is known to draw nutrients, owygen and fluids into the disc making an environment favorable to healing.

What causes low back pain?
Low back pain can be caused by injuries and aging.  Result from herniation and degeneration of the intervertebral discs are the main problems that cause back pain. The intervetebral discs protect the spinal cord and the vertebrae, thus, deterioration of the discs will create bulging and herniation leading to pain and numbness on the spine and back.

What are the conditions that Disc Decompression Therapy treats?

What conditions are contraindicated?

  • Metastatic cancer
  • Severe osteoporosis
  • Aortic aneurysm
  • Pelvic or abdominal cancer
  • Cauda Equina syndrome

Are there any side effects to the treatment?
Most patients do not experience any side effects. Though, for some cases, patient may experience muscle spasm for a short period of time.

Why should I consider Spinal Decompression instead of surgery?
Surgery may initially bring relief but it may require future surgeries due to added stress to adjacent areas. On the other side, spinal decompression here has minimal failure rates and has short recovery time. It is effective and non invasive.

Why should I consider Spinal Decompression instead of medication?
In comparison with medication, spinal decompressions don’t just give temporarily relief from pain. It treats pain and prevents it from worsening and recurring. Also, prolonged use of medication with stronger doses may increase risk of addiction, may damage liver, kidney and GIT, and may cause fatigue and depression. Spinal decompression not only targets pain symptoms it also avoids unnecessary side effects.

How long does the treatment last?
Spinal Decompression therapy lasts about 30-45 minutes per session, with most cases lasting 4 to 6 weeks in duration.
